I have recently been offered another contract that involved me being drawn on from a pool of subject matter experts to deliver face-to-face training in a specialty field as needed across NSW.
This is yet another employer which has been forced to mandate vaccines to its workers by a certain date. Obviously, I cannot comply, and as a result an option was offered to me, that if I provided an exemption, my services would be engaged regardless.
The interesting thing about the exemption is, it has to be completed by the doctor on the stipulated NSW government documentation, and also has to be signed off by the Chief Health Officer of NSW. This puts an interesting spin on this of course, as there would be very few doctors, who would be prepared to complete these exemptions, knowing that this would then have to be signed off by the CHO and they would consequently be registered as a doctor that issued such an exemption. That’s what I call ‘sticking your neck out’!
I have previously lost 4 other critical contracts due to the very same mandates, and it is now getting to the stage where I cannot afford to lose another contract. Obviously, we need to all pay bills, and eventually when bills are not paid, there are dire consequences.
I was also aware from previous conversations with my doctor, that he had ‘considerable pressure from TGA’ (Therapeutic Goods Administration) and there was a very narrow window of circumstances under which they could issue such exemptions.
I decided to once more send an email, and in detail explain my predicament, also highlighting the fact that I had recently had some adverse and anaphylactic reactions to paralyses ticks. Further, I explained, that I needed to be able to fulfil this contract in order to make ends meet.
I was in no doubt what the response would be, however felt I needed to explore this option one more time, only to receive the following email from my doctor:
Dear Sibby,
I can understand your concerns but the only way to get an exemption is to see an allergy specialist who will then be able to document the allergies. You may find it useful to see the specialist who looked after you following the tick anaphylaxis.
I am afraid I cannot write up exemptions because of the restraints the government has put on this. But an allergy specialist might be able to do so.

So here we are; get the vaccine and risk adverse side effects or even death, or don’t get work and eventually starve. Those are your choices.
I decided to respond and remind them, that not only had there been a recent case lodged in the International Criminal Court in The Hague with regards to the toxicity and side effects of the vaccines, and a criminal investigation had commenced in the UK with regards to the very same vaccines, but I reminded them also of the medical oath that he and his colleagues would have taken when they had been admitted into the medical profession.
At the time of being admitted as a member of the medical profession:
I solemnly pledge to consecrate my life to the service of humanity;
I will give to my teachers the respect and gratitude that is their due;
I will practise my profession with conscience and dignity;
The health of my patient will be my first consideration;
I will respect the secrets that are confided in me, even after the patient has died;
I will maintain, by all the means in my power, the honour and the noble traditions of the medical profession;
My colleagues will be my sisters and brothers;
I will not permit considerations of age, disease or disability, creed, ethnic origin, gender, nationality, political affiliation, race, sexual orientation, social standing or any other factor to intervene between my duty and my patient;
I will maintain the utmost respect for human life;
I will not use my medical knowledge to violate human rights and civil liberties, even under threat;
I make these promises solemnly, freely and upon my honour.
I believe it is time to remind the medical profession of this oath, and the government, that we will not be dictated to about a substance that puts our health at risk!
